Our Offer Is Genuine

Tourmedical is a customer services business offering clients looking for cosmetic dentistry and/or general dental treatment. Having developed the business over several years and having helped many clients from the UK, Ireland and western Europe we decided to revise our online presence. Although we did have successful website we wanted to present a higher quality interface for our potential clients, so embarked upon several months of work rewriting our content and creating a totally fresh image for our business and services.

Copyright InfringementThe work that we did wasn't a small endeavour for our company, as with our initial site, we wanted to ensure that we dedicated the same effort into our content as we did with the business, much to our dismay, when checking on some of the content from our original site the found that one of our competitors had stolen the the text from our website and used it on their own website. Although, impressive that a competitors obviously valued Tourmedical's efforts in creating content Tourmedical also realised that the people that we saw as important were being sold a false representation by one of our competitors, how low will some companies go, to win business!

...someone can steal our content and perhaps our design they cannot steal the thinking behind our website, nor can they copy the service offer.

With the aid of some professional assistance we were advised that according to the US Copyright Office website copyright protection starts from the time the work is created and immediately becomes the property of the author who created it, but we had to find out what Turkish law did to protect ethical businesses such as theirs.

Now although, someone can steal our content and perhaps our design they cannot steal the thinking behind our website, nor can they copy the service offer. After all if they cannot be bothered to create their own content, they probably will be equally lax with their business practices.

In this case firstly, we found some text on the website that was unlikely that anyone else would write a phrase or sentence that way. Using Google and Bing we compile a list of those site with the exact same phrase, and created a shortlist of the sites that had the same text. While it is completely possible in the millions and millions of websites that someone might have written the exact same phrase, we investigated every site in our list.

Once we had refined the list we carried out another check using; http://www.copyscape.com

The steps we are taking to get the plagerised material removed:

We gathered as much information about the culprits site as we could, printing out all the pages from our site where the copied content existed.

Using http://www.internic.net/whois.html and http://www.who.is to gather all their registration information.

We went to http://www.alexa.com and find whatever information was available there.

Finally, we wrote to the offending site owner and let them know that we had found their unscrupulous work.

Perhaps we should have offered them a list of the URLs of the pages containing the copied content, along with the copyrighted URLs of Touremedical, but the anger they had caused we thought that the offenders should work a little, after all if they stole the content, it would surely be obvious to them which were the offending pages. Tourmedical gave them six days to either delete the pages, or re-write them so that they no longer include the Tourmedical text.

We were not about to play the nice guys we demanded our rights. It is illegal and unethical for them to do what they did and they need to stop doing it immediately.

They realised that maybe the offender was the website designer, not the owner of the site, however for us it was the responsibility or the site owner of the site to ask their designer where they got the text.

Our service if not necessarily unique, but we are sure that our levels of service cannot be copied easily. We focus on delivering to our clients the very best levels of service and we hope to inform people that medical tourism has some pitfalls, not least some companies are willing to pretend and to copy who they see as better, we can highlight one website that has obviously tried to impress people with our content;

The Dental Holiday Group in Alanya

They can copy what we say, they can copy our images and even our prices, what you as a potential client must consider is as is how ethical is a business, that cannot be bothered to spend some time writing their own content or creating their own pricing schedule. In the case of the site that we have named and shamed they have even used the images of our clients to highlight the standards of their work.

If you would like to deal with a company with ethics, one that truly is focussed on you and the service you receive, choose TourMedical.

Be Sure You Are Using The Best

With the growing popularity of medical tourism many people, especially in the UK and US are looking for the wonderful bargains to be had when considering dental treatment. With the wonders of the web it is very easy for those looking for the best deal to find some exceptional prices, some seemingly lower than the material costs. But as the old adage goes "you get what you pay for" and when bargain hunting you should be aware of how the phenomenal discounts are being achieved.

...having your treatment done abroad can be considerably cheaper, sometimes 80% cheaper...

Of course it is needless to say that having your treatment done abroad can be considerably cheaper, sometimes 80% cheaper, because of the reduced costs of labour, not to mention that, in places such as the UK and the US there are the exuberant costs of insurance for the dental clinics, litigation in these countries has almost made quality dental care prohibitively expensive. That said we offer one word of caution if you are considering dental care remember that your will be receiving medical treatment and although cost is a factor, quality of care and service should also be a significant factor when choosing your dentist abroad.

One horror story we heard from a client was about a friend who had spent many weeks deliberating whether or not she should go abroad for dental treatment, she had searched the web found several clinics that offered great deals on getting the brilliant white smile she had in her twenties. Finally, she drew up a short list of three potentials. After looking at her shortlist for another week she decided that she would opt for the cheapest, even though they did not appear to offer the exceptional levels of service offered by the other two. Finally, she booked her trip, and arrived at the dentist of choice, she didn't mind the 3 star hotel, as it saved her even more money. She caught a taxi and arrived at the clinic ready for her treatment. Unfortunately for this particular lady, the dentist became distracted and she was left for just over an hour, the result of which was she was left with severe burning around her mouth and gums.

What she didn't know was that her clinic of choice was able to achieve their superb prices for the Zoom teeth whitening treatment through not so ethical means, they had not only replaced the official gel with a cheaper alternative, but had the equipment "cracked", thus allowing a patient to receive three treatments of twenty minutes in one sitting. The woman sat down for her treatment, eagerly awaiting her beautiful white smile, promised in just an hour. "Cracking" the Zoom equipment is not too common, however it does happen. The Zoom Whitening process equipment is designed to work for 20 minutes at a time, before automatically switching itself off. It is also designed to use only the authorised gels, controlled through a coding system, when this eqiupment is tampered with or "cracked" it is possible for alternative cheaper gels to be used and also the auto switch off is disabled. This puts the patient at risk.

Because we at TourMedical understand that cosmetic dentistry is healthcare and that our clients are putting their trust in us, we guarantee that our dentists use only the best quality materials and equipment, but also, that they follow the prescribed methods of treatment. Further more we understand that if you fly to Turkey for treatment, you may be a little nervous about what sort of care you will receive, so we also provide you with a personal patient coordinator, who will be there with you to offer moral support, to answer as many questions about the treatment as you like, to ensure that you have transport to and from the clinic and to help you have the most comfortable and relaxing stay, not to mention that you receive the superb treatment, you deserve.

Tourmedical is not a dental clinic nor does it take a commission for the treatments offered by the dentist, we are a client services company, our sole purpose is to ensure that our clients receive the best possible care at the best possible price, without compromise.

If you would like to find out more about our service offer and the treatments available, visit our website at; http://www.tourmedical.com/

Cosmetic Dentistry

We believe that everbody deserves a healthy and perfect smile. An attractive smile can boost the chances in your career, your personal life, or just enhance what you already have. With new minimally invasive techniques and painless treatments, cosmetic dentistry is now readily accessible for almost anyone who is unhappy with the appearance of their teeth.

Smile Design

While traditional dentistry focuses on dental health and oral hygene, cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of a person's teeth, mouth and smile. In other words restorative, general and/or family dental practices address dental problems that require necessary treatment, whereas cosmetic dentistry provides elective or desired treatments or services.

As cosmetic dentists we focus on what our patient expects from their smile and how they want their teeth to look. Cosmetic dentistry is a self-esteem service, just like other cosmetic surgery if the result is not what the patient wants, the treatment is a failure. Consequently, we with our patient need to spend time in the artistic planning of their smile.

Fundamentally, we believe there are three types of smile, each of which primarily involves work on multiple front teeth, although cosmetic dentistry is obviously not confined to just those teeth that form the smile, and includes closing gaps, replacing missing teeth and of course the repair of damaged or decayed teeth;

Smile DesignA Youthful Smile

Variation in the length of the teeth. A youthful smile generally means that the two front teeth are slightly longer than the others, since they tend to be longer than the other front teeth when they first come in and then wear down over time to an even length. So, for that sexy youthful smile your smile design will draw peoples eyes to the center of your face, emphasizing your nose and chin, we have found this an ideal treatment for those patients with prominent, attractive lips.

Smile DesignA Youthful Smile

The fabled Hollywood smile is not only a bright white smile but also from an aesthetic perspective the from teeth form a straight horizontal line. A aesthetically this type of smile conveys a look of maturity and sophistication. Brining emphasis on the width of the lower face, so for men looking for that squarer jaw look, this smile is ideal and for women that want the broad beaming smile it too offeres the perfect solution.

Smile DesignA Youthful Smile

Many view the perfect smile as between the hollywood and youthful smile. The central teeth are a little bit longer than the adjacent front teeth. This smile design appears natural and conforms to many peoples ideal of the "perfect" smile, and can also convey warmth. It's not quite as beaming as the Hollywood smile nor is it as prominent as the youthful smile.

Key Factors Affecting Your Smile:

Your smile design must take into consideration the shape of your face. For patients with a long face may want to consider accentuation of the width of their smile to make their face appear more oval. Someone with attractive features may want to draw attention to that center.

Your smile aspirations, how do you want to appear to others? A Hollywood smile gives the appearance of more maturity and sophistication. A youthful smile gives the appearance of more warmth, energy and boldness.
So your age, or how old you want to appearare also important factors.

With your smile design consultation, our expert cosmetic dentist will go over all of these factors. You might want a smile that you picked from a photograph or a magazine, perhaps you want the smile of a celebrity, however our cosmetic dentist may not agree totally with your choice and will explain why that smile may not quite suit you, but ultimately the final decision is still yours.

Just as national smile month began in the UK and USA, a new service was born, Tourmedical launched an online introduction to their dental agency servce, providing access to exceptional quality of service and many medical treatments starting with dental care and more interestingly, cosmetic dentistry.

Whilst keeping with the emphasis on brushing your teeth regularly and cutting down on the frequency of sugar intake, regular visits to the dentist of National Smile Month 2009. In today's world there are many factors affect a large majority of people that do not visit the dentist regularly, not least the fear factor. A spokesperson for Dental Fear Central, the UK's largest dental phobia self-help organisation, said, "There are many, many people for whom just the thought of seeing a dentist provokes extreme anxiety and panic. Some of them have had traumatic experiences with dentists in the past, especially during their childhood or teenage years. Others fear the loss of control they experience in the dental chair. Dentists are still viewed as authority figures by many, who feel totally helpless and at the mercy of the dentist". Regardless of the cause, dental phobia and anxiety TourMedical's trained patient co-ordinators are offered free for each and every client interaction, with multiple languages and countries of origin including; Ireland, England, Netherlands and Germany, the patient co-ordinators are able to put everyone at ease, before during and after treatment.

An Introduction To Medical Tourism

Not so long ago, travelling abroad was not the first thing that came to mind when considering medical treatment, however nowadays, going abroad for many medical treatments can actually be incredibly beneficial.

The phrase that is becoming common for this kind of travel is "medical tourism" and as the costs for simplest of procedures rise, medical tourism is becoming an increasingly popular choice for people all over the world. The cost of dental work and a variety of other medical treatments abroad can be as little as 20% of the cost of the same treatment in your home country. Many countries actively promote medical tourism and offer incredibly competitive rates along with other benefits.

There are also many reputable companies that specialise in arranging medical tourism packages for you, which combine your treatment with a restful holiday, at a price less than you would spend if you opted to have the procedure done at home.

Increasingly in the UK NHS treatments are subject to waiting lists, in some areas of Britain it is almost impossible to gain timely access to a NHS dentist. Whilst for some other medical treatments the wait for a major surgery can be as long as a year which isn't exactly a recipe for happy or healthy patients.

These long waits are often a deciding factor for those who choose to seek treatment elsewhere, as in most countries where medical tourism thrives in Turkey wait times are short or nonexistent. This allows patients to get the care they need sooner and at a time when it is convenient for them.

Many people are reluctant to travel for treatment because they are concerned about the quality of care they will receive, but actually most of these fears are unfounded. While there will always be medical facilities provide sub-standard services, most are world class and in the case of Tour Medical may be better than those at home. Many practicioners are certified with highly prestigious medical associations. Hospitals are often corporately owned, and as such are very competitive and will often exceed expectations of care and comfort.

Medical tourism offers the chance to do a little sightseeing before or after your treatment. You can spend your recovery relaxing under on a scenic beach, in a resort or even just enjoying the benefits of a high class hotel's room service. With Tour Medical some packages may be all inclusive, as well as providing you with an assistant on call at your hotel.

Benefits Of Medical Tourism

With medical facilities so close to home why travel thousands of miles to get treatment somewhere else? There are a number of reasons why traveling for medical reasons can actually be better for your health and your pocket, than staying at home. In fact, it's becoming a more and more popular option with people from around the globe.

One of the primary benefits of medical tourism is the huge potential for savings. Even when the cost of the plane ticket and accommodation, for the weeks that you are there are added in, treatment in a foreign country can still be significantly cheaper than back home.Through Tour Medical the cost can be as little as a fifth of what it would cost to have the same treatment in the UK & Ireland. Dental work provides the greatest overall savings, but other cosmetic and major surgeries can be had at a significant discount as well. Usually, hospitals and clinics abroad are willing to give you an estimate of the cost, as they know they are going to be cheaper than you would pay in your home country. This can help to avoid many of the hidden costs that can be associated with surgery. It should also be noted that some insurers will cover overseas surgeries. Check with your insurance provider to see if you are eligible to have these costs covered.

Availability and lack of a wait is also a major benefit of taking your treatment abroad. Wait times for surgery can be months or up to a year in some cases and those needing treatment more quickly might actually be better served by seeking treatment elsewhere.

Most surgeries whether major or cosmetic can be scheduled within a few days or weeks if done in a less overburdened foreign hospital. Whether you have a pressing need due to personal comfort and quality of life, or if you simply want to get it taken care of more quickly, medical tourism can be a great way to more easily and quickly get the attention you need.

,Though it might come as a surprise to some, one benefit to traveling for medical reasons is that you may actually be able to get better and more personal care at a foreign facility than you can get at home. Many hospitals specialize in medical tourism, and in order to draw in customers they provide exceptional quality and service.Depending on your destination you have the opportunity to get treatment from some of the best doctors in their field, many of which will have been trained at prestigious institutions abroad. Equipment and facilities are actually very comparable to those at home and patients will often find that they can afford a more luxurious hospital stay abroad than they could at home.

Medical tourism isn't just about getting more reasonably priced medical care; it's also a great way to spend your recovery in a relaxing and beautiful environment, free from the ringing phone and responsibilities that could plague your recovery at home. You will have the opportunity to spend your recuperation time under an umbrella on the beach or shopping in luxury boutiques.

The savings on the surgery can also allow you to bring along friends or family members and still pay less than you would have at home. Bringing along familiar faces can also help make getting treatment in a foreign country less intimidating. Many package deals are also available which can help you easily bundle your treatment in with sightseeing, massages, and spa treatments.

Risks Of Medical Tourism

One of the most important things to remember about medical tourism is that other countries might not regulate professional licensing and certification as closely as the United States and Europe.

While a great majority of the doctors working in these countries will be more than qualified it is always best to check out the credentials of any doctor you wish to work with before ever undergoing any procedure. Undergoing surgery is always a risk, but you can help mitigate the chances of botched procedures by checking out your doctor beforehand.

It is also important to remember that if something does go wrong in many countries you may will have very little legal recourse. The high cost of medical treatment in the U.S. for example is due in part to the large amounts of malpractice insurance doctors are required to carry. Be aware that though you may be receiving a discount on your surgery that it could actually end up costing you much more in the long run if you encounter problems. Insurance often will not cover the cost of additional treatments and surgeries needed due to your overseas operation, and the legal systems of many of the countries won't be much help in getting you compensation.

Another thing to watch out for is traveling too soon after your surgery. Flying immediately after or within a few days of a surgery can cause some very serious complications. The combination of high altitude and sitting for long periods of time can cause blood clots and pulmonary embolisms, both potentially fatal conditions. Less seriously, you also put yourself at risk of swelling and infections. To be safe, give yourself at least a week, if not a little more, to recover after your treatment.

You'll also need to be vigilant in making sure you get adequate follow-up care. Many hospitals are in the business of getting patients in and out quickly and post-operative care can be very limited in some cases. Getting this care once you return home can sometimes be complicated and potentially pricey. Since you are in a country with many diseases and bacteria that you may not have built up an immunity to you can be especially vulnerable to infection, so you'll need to choose a hospital that offers not only great surgical care, but also will check up on you afterwards to ensure you're healing properly and are healthy enough to travel home.

Finally, while part of the allure of medical tourism is the vacation it can also be one of the risks. Drinking, spending too much time in the sun, or just not resting enough can lead to complications with your recovery including hematomas, scarring and infection. While you can and should enjoy your visit, do remember to take it easy so your body can recover.

Going abroad for surgery can be a great way to potentially save tens of thousands of dollars but it's certainly not without its risks. You should spend time researching and doctors and hospitals and keep your recovery time in mind when planning your trip. Risks can be managed if you're careful and educate yourself and can help you make your experience a rewarding and healthy one.
